The Clean Water Now! Coalition is dedicated to the protection, restoration and preservation of aquatic and riparian ecologies worldwide. We support "S.M.A.R.T. Model Projects: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic & Timely." Impaired water quality means degraded natural resources and denied recreational assets. In other words, regardless of location, water ecologies should be non-hazardous and non- toxic, that is "fishable and swimmable." CWN!C is entering a new phase in our evolving journey, one that will have a common thread: "21st Century Solutions to 20th Century Problems" Established in 1998, CWN!C firmly believes that Healthy Watershed Systems can facilitate Robust Tourism-Based Economies. Our volunteer beach cleanups, the quarterly "Adopt-A-Beach" and yearly "International Coastal Cleanup Day," will continue to be our flagship programs. Now proudly entering our 7th year as local administrators for the California Coastal Commission, we have developed the award-winning prototype for these venues stretching over the entire 7 1/2 miles of pristine coastline in Laguna Beach, California. These trash removal programs reflect and honor the CWN!C extended family's personal commitment to add our hearts, minds and uncompensated time to the cleansing of our immediate environment.
